FoA Council

The Festival is run by a dedicated group of volunteers.  The Council is always looking for new members and the festival is always in need of volunteers the day of the event.  For information about becoming a volunteer contact Brenda Gingles at ginglesbg@gmail.com

  • Chair: Jessie Fritsch

    Jessie received one of the Festival of the Arts Scholarship Award in 2004 when she was an art student at UWSP and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in 2006. She joined the council in 2014. She has been participating in art festivals for the past 10 years. She works in Encaustic and has a studio in Stevens Point. www.jessiefritsch.com
  • Brenda Gingles

    Brenda has been on the council for the festival for over 30 years. Brenda is an active artist working in Sterling Silver Jewelry. Her studio is in Amherst on the Tomorrow River. She is also part of the Hidden Studio Tour.
  • Sharon Fujimoto

    Sharon has been involved with glass for over 35 years, first as a student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently as a full time glass artist with a studio near Amherst Junction, Wisconsin www.fujimotoglass.com
  • John Morser

    John has been with the Festival of the Arts for over 30 years. He is a photographer. We works with Q Gallery and the Hidden Studio Tour as well.
  • Paul Klein

    Sculptor Paul Klein finds inspiration in century-old buildings, forests, shorelines and even his own backyard. The artist, who maintains a studio at his home in Amherst Junction, WI, believes that viable materials, or “local exotics,” can be found everywhere. Stressing the environmental ethics of appreciation for one’s surroundings, Paul explains, “I’m constantly amazed at nature’s treasures.   • Tim Marcotte

    Tim has been with the council for over 30 years. Tim is an active artist participating in art festivals. He specializes in porcelain with crystalline glaze. He lives in Stevens Point.
  • Lora Hagen

    Lora is a potter and the daughter of Dick Schneider. She runs Schneider et Fille Pottery Shop in Minocqua, WI.
  • Elly Fritsch

    Elly is a retired accountant and is in charge of our bookkeeping. She enjoys woodworking and reusing glass to make solar art. She currently participates in craft fairs.
  • Marianne Walker

    Marianne is very involved in her community. She also runs the Rising Star Mill Art Show in May.
  • Kathryn Negaard

    Kathryn is a studio artist and former secondary art educator. She has a B.A. and M.E.P.D from UW- Stevens Point. She specializes in handmade paper and metal jewelry.
